3. General Information on Data Processing

3.1 Scope of Processing

We only process personal data of our users to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing regularly takes place only with the user's consent. An exception applies where prior consent cannot be obtained for practical reasons and processing is permitted by legal provisions.

3.3 Data Deletion and Storage Duration

Personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Storage may also take place if provided for by European or national legislators. Data will also be blocked or deleted when a legally prescribed storage period expires.

4. Website Provision and Log Files

Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname, IP address, and time of server request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in trouble-free operation)

Storage duration: Log files are deleted after a maximum of 7 days.

5. Hosting

The majority of our websites is hosted on our own Virtual Private Server (VPS) at a European hosting provider. Domain management is handled via Hostinger.

8. Contact Forms and Email Contact

Contact forms are available on several of our websites (incl. activated-records.com, activated-agency.com, activated-store.com, basswarandcaox.com, whoisnone.com, lawstylez.com, bitshakerz.com). Data collected: name, email address, message content, time of inquiry, IP address (abuse protection).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).

9. Online Shop (activated-store.com)

Our online shop is operated via Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland). Shopify acts as data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. EU Standard Contractual Clauses are in place for data transfers to the USA (Shopify Inc.).

Order data processed: name, delivery/billing address, email address, phone (optional), payment information, order history.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Storage duration: up to 10 years (commercial/tax retention obligations).

We offer two separate newsletters, each with its own distribution list:

(a) ACTIVATED newsletter (label newsletter): central sign-up at https://activated-records.com/newsletter. Newsletter sign-up on all ACTIVATED websites (activated-network.com, activated-agency.com, activated-store.com, whoisnone.com, lawstylez.com, lawstylez.de, bitshakerz.com, djfluffy.de) is consolidated into this single label newsletter.

(b) BassWar & CaoX newsletter: separate sign-up at https://basswarandcaox.de/newsletter. This artist newsletter is kept entirely separate from the label newsletter and is exclusively assigned to BassWar & CaoX; a sign-up there is never merged into the label list.

For both newsletters:

Double opt-in: after registration you receive an email with a confirmation link; only after clicking it are you added to the respective list.
Data processed: email address and optionally your name.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Withdrawal: at any time via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by email to k.schroetter@activated-network.com.
